Veruca is an extremely energetic dog with very high work drives. She has been trained for apprehension work primarily with undercover sleeves to prevent equipment fixation. Veruca has been deployed to pursue decoys at distances of over 200 yards, both with the decoy in sight as well as running out of her view. Veruca has a very strong grip and will hold the bite until given her “out” command, which she will obey immediately. She has been trained in frontal and rear arm engagements. We have not trained her to engage a decoy’s leg, although we have no doubt she will pick that up quickly if exposed to it.
We have introduced Veruca to “Reasonable Force Apprehension” work and she has learned not to engage a stationary decoy. Veruca has been exposed to several different buildings, slick/shiny floors, and tight spaces, having no problem navigating or working on them.
Veruca knows basic obedience commands such as sit, down, and heel, (not taught in English), and her recall is impeccable. We feel it would be best if Veruca’s new handler/family advanced her obedience training to build the bond between them.
Veruca still has a bit of puppyness in her. She is very playful and can be shy around new people at first, but warms up quickly. We expect Veruca will be successful as either a Police Working Dog or as a family pet/personal protection dog. She has been raised around adults and children, (one with special needs), and has never shown aggression towards any of them.
Veruca’s Sire and Dam had DNA samples sent to Embark for testing and both were clear for Degenerative Myelopathy, MRD1, as well as every other genetic defect for which they test. Veruca is therefore completely clear of the same defects through parentage. The Embark paperwork is available upon request.

Standard Sable Coat
Named in honor of late Syracuse Police Detective William “Bomber” LaShomb, Bomber is a high energy dog with very high work drives, and would excel as a Police Working Dog. Bomber has been trained for apprehension work primarily with undercover sleeves to prevent equipment fixation. He has limited exposure to exposed sleeves for training purposes. Bomber has a strong grip, calls off the bite on the first command, and has been deployed at distances of over 200 yards, both with and without the decoy running out of his sight. Bomber has been trained on rear and frontal arm engagements. We have not trained him to grip a decoys leg, although we expect he will pick that up quickly if exposed to it.
Bomber has been introduced to “Reasonable Force Apprehension” work, and has learned not to engage a stationary decoy. Bomber is completely comfortable working in buildings, on slick/shiny floors, and in tight spaces.
Bomber knows basic obedience commands such as sit, down, and heel, (not taught in English). We feel it would be best for Bomber’s new handler/family to advance his obedience training to build the bond between them.
Bomber, while very energetic, is good with people and allows his goofy puppy side to show every now and then. We believe he would make an excellent working dog, but Bomber would also make a great addition to an active family who may want to continue his training as a personal protection dog. He was raised around adults and children, (one with special needs), and has never shown aggression towards them.
Bomber’s Sire and Dam had DNA samples sent to Embark for testing and both were clear for Degenerative Myelopathy, MRD1, as well as every other genetic defect for which they test. Bomber is therefore completely clear of the same defects through parentage. The Embark paperwork is available upon request.
